The Sultans Rise: Mombasa United Seal Historic Promotion

Mombasa United have secured promotion to the 2026/27 SportPesa Premier League, marking a defining moment in our club's history and the beginning of a new chapter for football in Mombasa.

Mombasa, we did it.

After a season of determination, sacrifice and unwavering belief, the Sultans have achieved our ambition of reaching the highest level of Kenyan football.

We are Premier League bound.

For our players, technical bench, staff and supporters, this is a moment that will live long in our memories. A journey that demanded courage, patience and togetherness has brought us to the stage we have worked so hard to reach.

A Journey Defined by Resilience

Our road to the SportPesa Premier League was never straightforward.

From a demanding National Super League campaign to the promotion playoff against Kariobangi Sharks, every stage of our journey tested our character and resolve.

But our ambition never changed.

At Mbaraki Sports Club, a memorable 2-1 first-leg victory over Kariobangi Sharks brought us closer to our dream and gave our supporters a moment to cherish.

The journey continued to Nairobi, where the Sultans faced another defining test in our pursuit of Premier League football.

Through every challenge and every moment of uncertainty, our players remained committed, our technical team remained focused and our supporters never stopped believing.

Today, that belief has been rewarded.

A City That Never Stopped Believing

This achievement belongs to everyone who has stood behind Mombasa United.

To the supporters who filled Mbaraki with their voices, to those who travelled hundreds of kilometres to Nairobi, and to the thousands who followed our journey from home, you have been at the heart of this remarkable chapter.

From Kisauni to Likoni, Old Town to Changamwe, Mvita to Jomvu, Nyali to Miritini, and across Kilifi, Kwale, Lamu and the wider Coast region, our colours have brought communities together behind a shared ambition.

Every journey made, every song sung and every moment of support reminded us of the responsibility and privilege of representing this city.

You stood with us when the road became difficult. You carried our badge with pride. You never allowed the belief to fade.

This moment belongs to you, Mombasa.

A New Chapter for Mombasa Football

Promotion to the 2026/27 SportPesa Premier League represents more than a sporting achievement for our club.

It is an opportunity to carry the passion, identity and footballing heritage of Mombasa onto Kenya's biggest domestic stage.

Our city has always been home to extraordinary football talent and generations of passionate supporters. We are proud to play our part in building a future that reflects that tradition.

The Premier League will bring new opponents, new challenges and greater expectations.

We welcome them.

Our ambition is to continue developing a competitive, professional and sustainable football club that our supporters and the entire Coast region can be proud of.

The Sultans Have Risen

To our players, coaches, management, staff, partners and everyone who contributed to this achievement, thank you.

To our supporters, your loyalty and belief have meant everything.

We have shared the difficult moments. We have celebrated the victories. And now, together, we celebrate our place in the SportPesa Premier League.

Our journey does not end here.

A new chapter begins, and we approach it with the same determination, unity and ambition that brought us this far.

For the badge. For the supporters. For Mombasa.

THE SULTANS HAVE RISEN.

TEMBEA MOMBASA.
